About me
A native of southwest Nebraska and a proud product of public schools, Kristin Vest is an experienced CTE educator and administrator, who works to provide high quality opportunities for Family and Consumer Sciences educators and students in the Lincoln Public Schools where she serves over 50 educators reaching 42,000 young people. In her role, Kristin provides professional learning, instructional support and curriculum development in the areas of Design, Culinary Arts, Education and Teaching, Human Services, Health Sciences as well as middle level-FCS courses. Kristin is a past-President of LEAD FCS Education, a former FCCLA State Adviser and Nebraska FCS State Administrator and secondary classroom FCS and Health Sciences teacher. Kristin currently serves on the Nebraska ACTE Board of Directors, the ACTE Nominating Committee and the FCS Division Policy Committee. She is passionate about preparing students for careers in Family and Consumer Sciences and helping to raise a generation of young people who develop critical thinking, life and career readiness skills. Kristin and her husband are small business owners working in the agricultural industry. In her community, Kristin is an active volunteer for the Junior League of Lincoln's Diaper Bank distributing over 97,000 diapers annually to 23 childcare centers helping to support working families.
