About me
Kris is an agricultural educator with a passion for connecting classroom instruction to authentic, hands-on learning. She teaches a wide range of courses including animal science, veterinary science, large animal management, companion animals, plant science, floriculture, landscape design, natural resources, and wildlife management. Her program blends Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education with teacher-created curriculum to provide students with meaningful, real-world experiences. Kris is deeply committed to designing instruction that aligns with Nebraska Career and Technical Education standards while reflecting best practices in instructional design and student engagement. She structures learning experiences that naturally integrate Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE), FFA participation, and classroom instruction into a cohesive program that prepares students for both career and postsecondary pathways. Kris is passionate about helping other agricultural educators move beyond seeing SAE as an “extra” and instead designing instruction where experiential learning is embedded into daily classroom practice.
