Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read the following! My name is Brian Helmberger. I am a journeyman electrician and a STS teacher in the state of Nebraska. I graduated from Omaha South high school in 1994. I was accepted into the IBEW local 22 apprenticeship program in 1995, became a journeyman electrician in 2000 after my five year apprenticeship. In 2015, I furthered my education into UNL's Skilled and Technical Science program. Now, I work part-time for IBEW local 22 and full-time with OPS at the Career Center in Omaha teaching their electrical pathways program. Even after 27 plus years in industry I am still learning new things in the electrical feild, industry, and of course in the classroom. one of the most common questions I seem to get is how do you become an electrician in Nebraska? With that said, please feel free to bring your questions and we can shed some light on them! Email [email protected]
