About me
Dr. Andreia Bianchini has a solid record of achievement in promoting STEM education. In the last three years, in partnership with other faculty in the Food Science and Technology department at UNL she has collaborated on the creation of more than 20 different STEM-based, food science focused, hands-on activities for students in K-12. These activities varied in length from a few hours to 1-day or multi-day camps. Additional collaborators on these activities included Nebraska's Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (NE - EPSCoR), the UNL-Food, Energy, Water and Societal Systems (FEWS2) partnership, Nebraska Extension Educators and Nebraska 4-H, especially for their "Clover College" that is offered every summer in Lincoln, NE. These hands-on activities have been offered to hundreds of students every year and have been very well received.
