In this session, participants will get a brief demo of all three Beyond the Bet: Economics of Gambling Lessons! Did you know that the average age a problem gambler is introduced to gambling is 10 years old? Educators, we need to start having conversations with our students about the perils of gambling! This curriculum is a nationally award winning peer-reviewed curriculum that is available to all educators at no cost. The lessons are interactive and offer an opportunity for teachers to have these conversations with their students in the academic setting.

In this session, participants will get a demo of one lesson from the Economics of Innovation Curriculum from the Foundation for Teaching Economics. This active learning session will have teachers moving around and experiencing the lesson first hand. These lessons bring out the economics in the entrepreneurship in fun and innovative ways!

But how do we help them distinguish credible information from hype, misinformation, or marketing? This session equips teachers with a practical, ready-to-use lesson and activities to teach students how to evaluate online financial content critically.
